Cecilia 100WC – Week 12

He was shocked to find the Tinker still trapped, the evil man smirked. The Evil Lord Of Nulth stared out at the barren and forgotten wasteland. The once moonlite and pretty Night Zoo was swept by he and his minions. I thought I knew darkness. The Lord had captured Tinker, creativity itself, I had to save it. I gathered my presence.

The laughs, music, creativity and joy of this land blasted from my palms, releasing all the evil, also Tinker. Creativity was back, my Zoo, magic, everything! I gazed upon it all and smiled. I, The Night Zookeeper was back.

Fraser 100WC – Week 12

He was shocked to find…

A guard took off his hat he had been shot numerous times in the head but was still alive. The lord of Nulth was furious as he grabbed the bag and tossed it away into the darkness of his house. “ Go away and go catch a real dirty filthy animal and bring him to me immediately”. As he ran away, the sound of weeping slowed down. Lord of Nulth was beginning to smell something in his nostrils it was not a very pleasant smelt either. After about a minute Lord of Nulth was on the ground what was the smell.

Alex 100WC – Week 12

He was shocked to find the frightened body of a child. He took a step back, examining the little boy. His eyes exuded cold and his pupils merged with the irises. He was dressed in a rugged black top with cut skinny jeans. Blood was dripping down his forehead from a cut where he was kicked. He spat in disgust as he stared at the once human form of The Lord of Nulth. The room became tense as the silence grew. The child was scared but he didn’t back down. Then the child made his move. Clawing at The Lord.

Alex 100WC – Week 11

Remember the fallen, remember the lost, remember the ones that we may have forgot. They fought on the beaches, the hills and towns. Their blood was spilled as they ran from the water, guns screaming, war blazing. The sand crunched beneath the boots of the soldiers and squelched when they fell. Their families back home trembling with every thought of their loved one not coming home.

And now we remember the ones that fell, the lost and we remember the forgotten. Their legacies continue to influence the life we live today as we feel the pain of our people at war.

Alex 100WC – Week 10

Darkness. It brings out many things. Dangerous animals wake from their sleeps to hunt their prey. Humans have always despised the dark. They make light to hide it but it is still there. They build shelters to be safe from it, but are they?

Ben and Joel were in the woods with their fathers. They had been hunting deer through the densely grown trees. As they came to a clearing they saw a body. It’s skin was ghostly white. They called for their fathers as it shivered, they stepped back, screams exciting their mouths. But their fathers never came, this was one of them.

Cecilia 100WC – Week 10

I woke up startled and I didn’t even know my name. Huge palm trees swayed in the morning mist and the sand was crisp and hot. Water splashed against my soggy leggings, my hair filled with seaweed. I looked around, this was NOT happening, perhaps I am in a dream. When suddenly at that moment I blacked out to see people with a dog, as it shivered they laughed with agreement as it glowed snow white. I sat up startled, what could this all mean? Suddenly a necklace fell of my neck, the letters in gold read May…

Cecilia 100WC – Week 9

I strolled down the forgotten street. Wisps of haunting smoke filled the misty air. I stared at the broken glass in the windows. This place was forgotten. The little cottages stood in remains as the orange sun set into the pitch black sky. I should be scared. Instead I kept walking. I lifted up the golden key, she told me to come here. The old town swimming pool came into view. I was close. Her green coat and old grey cat crept into my mind. No, I must find it. Then my key faded, I was too late…

Anthony 100WC – Week 9

I slowly make my way across the short, green grass, adventuring through the forest. I saw a light through the passageway of trees, plants and bushes. I got out of the forest soon after. My legs feel broken. and I can barely keep my torso up. One last step, I lifted myself onto a hill. I took a look around to spot any sign of civilisation. I spot a cat, but who knows where they wander from. Could be Miles. Wait… I think I see some people swimming in the lake! Maybe they’ll know where I am. I dash over to the group of people.

Alex 100WC – Week 9

Green water passed slowly under the boat. My friends were swimming at the bend in the river. Broken tree branches floated by. Boxes were lifted off barges that were anchored at the small dingy old dock. An old ginger cat sat basking in the sun. I was leaning against the bow of our small fishing boat when I heard a whooshing sound. A wave of water rushed towards us. Brown silt churned around inside the waves. I was frozen with fear. Screams were heard from my friends but I knew it was too late. I dived under water hoping the wave would pass over me….

Anthony 100WC – Week 8

The Woods…

The twigs snap, the leaves crackle and the wind, woosh, woosh, woosh… I think I see something up ahead. It’s dark. Maybe a burnt tree trunk. I run over to the trunk, but it isn’t what I think it is! It’s a sculpture. There’s a sign next to the sculpture. It reads, “Who ever dares touch the cloak of ghoul shall be hunted down and killed.” I look inside where the face is supposed to be, all I see is a racoon. I guess the animal is going to claw me to death. HA! Nice try. I touch the ghoul…

Mary 100WC – Week 8

The Phantom

I rode on my bike through the forest at night trying to get back to my home on the hill. I could very faintly see the dim glow of my house in the distance through the swaying trees. Suddenly my bike hit something hard, and I tumbled to the ground. The moon went behind the clouds and everything went dark. I was about to get up when something caught my eye. There was a dark, shadowy figure that appeared to be sliding across the ground, almost like… a ghost! Suddenly the strange figure began to slither towards me…

Alex 100WC – Week 8

Gnarled hands clung to me as I tried to escape. Once again I had been caught, but I knew that this time would be my last. They through me into a hessian sack, rough fabric itching my bare back. They took no care when moving me, tossing me over streams and dropping me on rocks. The bag soon became damp with the blood of my body. When I was released I was pushed between two trees and had a gown placed over me. I looked up one last time only to be frozen solid. Now I stand guard for eternity.

Alex 100WC – Week 7

Stars shone in the picturesque night sky. As I crept further into the heavily forested area that the town called haunted, my scents began to play with me. I could not believe the smell. It smelt of death and rot and as I got closer my late night decisions started to seem not so great. It was already early morning but the dense canopy of the trees blocked any light from entering. A clearing opened up in front of me and the source of the stench became known. A decomposing deer lay still on the ground, shotgun wound surrounded with dry, crisp blood. Death was long gone.

Cecilia 100WC – Week 6

Forever the sounds wash over me like a blanket, taste, touch, smells… If only I could have my wish. My world is like you’re forever lost, with only the other senses alive. I want to see the world I once saw, the elegant flowers, the huge yellow beam in the sky. That now is a lost memory, never to return.

10 YEARS LATER

I opened my eyes and suddenly I could see again! My face, my family…everything! I had woken from a long miserable dream that had lasted years. I hugged my family, and smiled. This was a miracle.

Alex 100WC – Week 6

The cold sterile environment of the hospital brought alarm and unsettle racing into my head. Several bodies covered in pale blue one-piece suits added to my discomfort. I was groggy but I remembered that this sense of sight is new to me. Suddenly I was able to see again, it was a shock discovery but it brought tears to my newly working eyes. The strange men and women left the rooms smiling only to be replaced by a new group of visitors. Their faces were filled with joy and wonder. I looked at one lady who asked

“Jane, do you remember me?” I knew the voice,

“Mum?”

Ella 100WC – Week 5

I tripped down the old wooden stairs to get down to the basement. A few had holes in them, seeing that the house was old. As I looked around I saw lots of boxes. They looked ancient. I didn’t want to touch any, but I felt attracted to a certain box that sat in the corner. The floorboards creaked with every step I took. The box was labelled with “positively do  not open” but I had to. I tugged the lid open revealing creepy dolls. I was about to pick up a doll when I heard mumbled whispers behind me.

Alex 100WC – Week 5

As I looked around I realized what a strange life I now live, no water, no food, no home. Nothing. The streets have become grubby and polluted with the sorrow and despair of the city’s residents. The sound of the constant bombardment of bullets and bombs echoes off the crumpled walls of demolished buildings that once stood tall. Cars are now a distant memory of what was once a reality. What was once a cosmopolitan city has become a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Every day is a struggle just to survive and I live everyday like it is my last. Because it might as well be.

Alex 100WC – Week 4

“May I have the pepper crocodile with a glass of orange juice. And make it snappy” His southern accent was still present even after years away from his home. But as the waiter looked at him quizzically he spoke again. “Oh I forgot, this is an established diner and crocodile isn’t available!” He made emphasis on the word established by making little quotation marks above his head. He had made his point clear that he was unhappy and left in a storm of rage, but he had left a note that read.

Only the strong of the world will survive not the soft. Be aware!
